On December 11, 2017, a delegation from Northwestern University (NU) visited BIAM to hold a seminar on Material and Process Design. Professors from NU made academic presentations, sharing the new research progress of NU on such topics as dieless forming, multi-scale multi physics material and process design, new engineering material system design, engineering surface texture generation and application. Over 40 researchers from BIAM attended the meeting and had deep discussion with NU professors on additive manufacturing, process design, etc. The successful holding of this meeting deepens mutual understanding of BIAM and NU and laid a solid foundation for future new cooperation projects.
